The XLS-832700 delivers new levels of density, flexibility, scalability, and ease of use, coupled with our proven record of reliability and value. For applications that demand large tape storage capacity with extremely high throughput capability, the XLS‑832700 Library Resource Module (LRM) is an ideal solution. In a multi-unit configuration with add-on XLS‑89000 Media Expansion Modules, the library’s total capacity can be expanded to accommodate more than 6,300 tapes.

The XLS‑8161100 offers the highest capacity in the XLS family and can be expanded into a multi-unit configuration that can hold as many as 7,500 tapes.

XLS 8161100 Datasheet

Used in conjunction with either model of XLS Library Resource Module, the XLS-89000 MEM unit provides the ability to build large XLS library systems. When an LRM unit and a MEM unit are attached side-by-side, the patented Compass Architecture of the LRM’s robotic tape handler enables it to directly access tapes in the carousel storage slots of the MEM unit. Alternating LRM and MEM units may be daisy-chained to achieve a tape capacity of as many as 7,500 cartridges.
